Thank You Friend
A thank you note to the best friend you can ever have.

Thank You for being my friend, when I needed one
With you I can never pretend, You've known me oh so long
And You know me even better than I know myself
For You see the real me, that no one else sees
Yet You still love me, in spite of myself
Thank You for sharing my good times
When there were two sets of prints in the sand
But when times got hard, You picked me up
And gently carried me in your hands
Lord you carried me in Your loving arms
Like a Father who comforts his child
Until I was able to stand again, Until I was able to smile
And I don't know the best way, To tell You how much I thank You
But You say, My dear child I love you, And that's just what real friends
do; But if you really want to show your love for Me, Introduce me to all
that you see; And tell them, that I love them to,
And I died so they could be free
Thank You for being my savior, Lord I thank you for being my friend
Lord, you are closer than my brother, You're some one on whom I can
depend, And when I need You Jesus, I just have to call on Your name
Oh Jesus, Sweet Emmanuel..... There's so much power in Your holy name
Thank You, thank You, thank You, thank You, Thank You for being my
friend, Lord I thank You, thank You, thank You Jesus, Thank You for
being my friend. And if I had 10,000 tongues to sing, It's not enough to
give you the praise; So I'll present this old body a living sacrifice
And I'll serve you for the rest of my days.
There's not a friend like the lowly Jesus, no not one, no not one
